Set against the sun drenched backdrop of a Greek island, this production of Mamma Mia! featured vibrant, playful costumes that reflected the energy of ABBA’s music. From dazzling disco looks to breezy Mediterranean ensembles, each design supported the show’s joyful spirit and larger than life characters.
Early 2000s costumes captured the relaxed, sunny life of a Greek island. Cool blues and coastal tones grounded the setting, with purples energizing the bachelorette party, stark black with neon for the nightmare, and warm reds, oranges, and yellows for the wedding. In the Megamix finale, the leads’ green, blue, and purple jumpsuits joined the ensemble’s red, orange, and yellow to form a rainbow onstage. Streamlined silhouettes and solid colors unified the looks, while bedazzling added sparkle and presence.

Donna and the Dynamos: Metallic flared jumpsuits as a glittering callback to ABBA’s 1970s stage looks.
Sophie’s Wardrobe: Light, breezy dresses in coastal tones capturing youthful optimism and ease of movement.
White as a Through Line: White appeared in every number, connecting the story’s shifting moods and tying the palette together.
Finale Megamix: Donna in blue, Tanya in green, and Rosie in purple, joined by the ensemble’s red, orange, and yellow, completing the rainbow in a dazzling finale.
