The design embraced bold color and whimsy, drawing on oceanic imagery and Hawaiian textiles to root the world of Bikini Bottom in a setting that resonated with its O‘ahu audience. Patterns, fabrics, and details pulled from local inspiration gave the costumes a sense of place, while playful shapes and textures captured the cartoon spirit. The goal was to merge imaginative fantasy with subtle cultural references, creating a production that felt both familiar and delightfully surreal.
